Humans learned to grow plants before we even domesticated animals. The transition from hunter-gatherer to farmer began over 10,000 years ago, although we didn't really start keeping them indoors until the 18th century. In the Victorian era, bringing greenery indoors really became a thing. If a bunch of Victorians who knew nothing of modern horticulture can do it, you can too! You don't really need a green thumb, just a little know-how! Start with the basics: water, light, and soil. Most plants are more forgiving than you think! Once you get the hang of it, watching something grow and thrive under your care is both satisfying and surprisingly low effort!
